Rhino Tracking

Rhino tracking in Uganda is a rare opportunity to encounter one of Africa’s Big Five on foot, in a secure wilderness setting that directly supports conservation and rewilding efforts. Unlike traditional game drives, this experience takes travellers into the field with trained rangers, following fresh spoor, grazing paths, and behavioural signs until a crash of rhinos is located and observed at a safe distance.

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Uganda’s Only Rhino Tracking Destination
Located on the Kampala–Gulu highway, Ziwa is the exclusive home of Uganda’s wild rhino population — making it the only place in East Africa where rhinos can be tracked safely on foot.
