Tanzania is the heart and soul of safari experiences. From its iconic wildlife spectacles to its stunning landscapes, it’s the land where unforgettable adventures unfold. Why Tanzania?

Serengeti National Park

Home to the world’s most famous wildlife spectacle – the Great Migration – the Serengeti is a must-visit. A haven for predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas, the Serengeti delivers a raw, natural experience where the wilderness plays out before your eyes. Perfect for wildlife enthusiasts, this park offers intimate safaris in vast, awe-inspiring landscapes.

Ngorongoro Crater

Often called the “eighth wonder of the world,” Ngorongoro Crater is a massive caldera teeming with life. Here, visitors can witness lions, rhinos, elephants, and other Big 5 animals coexisting in one of the world’s most biodiverse places. It’s a true wildlife paradise, offering incredible game viewing in a pristine environment.

Mount Kilimanjaro National Park

For those who seek adventure beyond the ordinary, Kilimanjaro offers a once-in-a-lifetime challenge. Africa’s tallest peak, standing at over 19,000 feet, promises breathtaking views and an iconic climb. Not just for mountaineers, Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped summit is one of Africa’s most spectacular sights, drawing travelers from across the globe.

Cultural Encounters

Tanzania’s rich cultural diversity, particularly the Maasai people, adds a compelling layer to any safari itinerary. The Maasai’s age-old traditions and deep connection to the land offer a unique cultural experience, making it a great destination for clients interested in the intersection of wildlife and local heritage.

When to Visit

Best Time to Go

While Tanzania offers great experiences year-round, the best months for wildlife viewing are from June to October, during the dry season. This is when the game viewing is at its peak, and clients can witness the Great Migration in full swing across the Serengeti.

High Season

June to September is the high season, coinciding with the dry weather and optimal wildlife viewing. These months can see high demand, so booking well in advance is recommended for the most sought-after camps and lodges.

Low Season

From March to May, Tanzania experiences its long rains. While the southern and western parks may be quieter, some lodges and camps close, and roads can become challenging. However, this is an ideal time for clients looking for fewer crowds and a more private experience.

Best Weather

The dry season, especially from June to October, provides clear skies and optimal conditions for both game viewing and trekking.

Wildlife

Will You See the Big Five?

Tanzania is one of the few places where your clients can encounter all of the Big Five. Ngorongoro Crater is particularly known for spotting rare black rhinos, while the Serengeti is famed for its lion, leopard, and cheetah populations.

What is Commonly Seen?

Beyond the Big Five, Tanzania offers a range of predators and herbivores, including giraffes, zebras, elephants, and cheetahs. A true highlight for many clients is the opportunity to witness the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles thunder across the plains.

When to Experience the Best Wildlife

For unmatched wildlife experiences, the dry season from June to October is ideal. During this time, animals congregate around water sources, making them easier to spot. For clients interested in the Great Migration, the August to November period is optimal.
